I am a technologist and a dabbler. I often think about political technologies, cognitive science, sound art, and social engineering. I grew up on Miami Beach, studied mathematics and computer science at MIT, built software for Apple, and then worked on artificial intelligence for a startup while traveling around the world.
I am a software engineer focusing on data, automation, and techniques from artificial intelligence and machine learning that can solve problems more efficiently. I was writing research software at the MIT Media Lab's Center for Civic Media. Now I am building systems at CrowdFlower to process and understand over 500 million micro-tasks that people have completed. Recently I've been learning Clojure and using Storm for realtime computation.
I finished a two song demo called The Changing Places EP that you can listen to using the links below. I primarily used Max/MSP, SPEAR, and Audacity in the creation of the pieces. I am experimenting with several new audio synthesis environments so I hope to have new sounds up soon.
