I am a technologist and a dabbler. I often think about political technologies, cognitive science, sound art, and social engineering. I grew up on Miami Beach, studied mathematics and computer science at MIT, built software for Apple, and then worked on artificial intelligence for a startup while traveling around the world.
I am a software developer who often focuses on data, automation, and using techniques from artificial intelligence and machine learning to solve problems more efficiently. I was writing research software at the MIT Media Lab's Center for Civic Media. Now I am helping to scale the systems at CrowdFlower through which hundreds of millions of micro-tasks have been completed from all over the world.
I finished a two song demo called The Changing Places EP that you can listen to using the links below. I primarily used Max/MSP, SPEAR, and Audacity in the creation of the pieces. I am experimenting with several new audio synthesis environments so I hope to have new sounds up soon.
